Satan's Serial Rollers

This is a creepy collection of profoundly dark roller art.

So here’s the story behind this collection of art. I was drawing out the roller derby pin-up girls and sharing them on facebook with friends. Some of the drawings were of guys in skates so one of my friends asked me if I could draw her favorite serial killer on skates. I thought it was interesting but it isn’t the first time I heard of an artist making art with the likeness of a serial killer. One of my college friends made an oil painting of Charles Manson and another friend also said she had a favorite serial killer. Then I saw John Borowski’s film, “Serial Killer Culture.” So apparently having collectibles related to serial killers is a thing. My thought is that I would never condone glorifying these sociopaths in any way or offend the families that lost a loved one. However I’m an artist trying to find my niche in life so making controversial art is something I have never been afraid of. So this is the challenge. Can I make a likeness of a serial killer on roller skates. Yes I can and this art proves it. It is light hearted and almost making fun of crazy. So I hope you look at the art as something that takes skill and you can appreciate that part of it and is you really don’t like it simply flip the page.
